Everyday children in our community are removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect. Guardian ad Litem volunteers help advocate for the best interest of these children as a vital part of our multi-disciplinary team. Volunteers are ordinary people who do extraordinary things for some of our community's most vulnerable children. Guardian ad Litem volunteers are trained and background checked at no cost and takes 6-10 hours a month, most of which can be done from home. The volunteers main job is to visit the child at least once a month and help gather information to make recommendations in dependency court. Just as each child is unique, so is each guardian. I invite you to watch a Public Service Announcement that can be viewed at the following link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Feieuu4EBo8.
